Pistacia Chinensis is a potential and suitable non-edible feedstock for biodiesel production in China. In the present paper, three extraction methods to obtain seed oil of Pistacia Chinensis were compared and the Soxhlet extraction was found as the most effective one. Microalgae is one of the primitive plants with the highest photosynthetic efficiency. Microalgae are rich in oil, high oil yield, do not occupy cultivated land, and can be cultured on a large scale. It is an ideal raw material for biodiesel production in China.
Pistacia chinensis seed oil is proposed as a promising non-edible feedstock for biodiesel production. Different extraction methods were tested and compared to obtain crude oil from the seed of Pistacia chinensis, along with various deacidification measures of refined oil.
The method comprises the following steps that a kieselguhr adsorbent is added for pretreating pistacia seed oil to obtain pure pistacia seed oil; the pure pistacia seed oil, methyl alcohol and a magnetic nanoparticle catalyst are added into a reaction kettle according to the weight ratio of 100:25-30: for an esterification reaction; biodiesel crude products are separated out, purification is carried out, and therefore the biodiesel is obtained.
